Meetings 

Meetings are held in Bauer Forum of Claremont McKenna College. The evening begins with a bird identification session at 7 p.m. followed by refreshments, a short business meeting, and our evening program.

2007 Meetings

Membership Meeting for November 1, 2007

Several members of our club took a trip to North Dakota in late June in search of, among other things sparrows (!). Our Naturalist Editor, Pam Kling and some of her trip companions will present a program about this trip, entitled “A birding trip to the Northern Great Plains.” It will be illustrated by Pam’s superb photos.

Membership Meeting for Sept 6, 2007

President Dan Guthrie will present a program about some of his recent trips, entitled “Birding the outposts of Asia; Mongolia and the MoluccasThis will introduce us to Asian birding as well as to two of the more remote areas for a birding trip.

 

Membership Meeting for Oct 4, 2007

Award-winning science writer John Moir will tell the riveting story of the California Condor’s dramatic rescue from the brink of extinction. John is author of the new book “Return of the Condor: The Race to Save our Largest Bird from Extinction.”

General meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of the moth, except July and August.
